On Wednesday evening, June 27, 2007, while cooking, I got a pan of boiling water with beans over my left wrist. This hurt terribly and my arm immediately turned red. On Thursday I visited my family doctor. Last Monday a colleague gave me your name and phone number. The pain was a little less by now but I thought it was definitely worth calling you. During and immediately after our phone conversation my wrist started tingling. The pain is now completely gone. The itching has increased so I hope it heals quickly.

On Saturday afternoon, June 16, 2007, I had planned to clean up a pile of branches lying in my garden. Since I was in a hurry and wanted to do this quickly, I grabbed a jerry can of gasoline and generously poured gasoline over the branches. As I was lighting the branches, a large flame erupted, over which I stood with my right arm and head.

After noticing that I had been in the middle of a stinging flame I immediately called my family doctor, Dr. van Gelderen, who came immediately (this took about 20 minutes). Meanwhile, I cooled both my head and arm with cold/hot soft running water. I felt and saw that it was serious. A big spot on my forehead where the sheets were hanging by and a lot of scorched hair. Lots of pain in the right side of my face and forehead and pain in my right forearm.

Doctor van Gelderen immediately rubbed me with the necessary ointment and extensively bandaged the burned areas. While Doctor van Gelderen was bandaging me I tried to reach Claudia Went by phone. I desperately wanted to reach her because I was in a lot of pain and I know she has a gift for taking pain away from burns.

I got Claudia on the line and explained to her what had happened. I told Claudia that my right forearm and the right half of my face were burned by a stabbing flame. Partially 2nd degree and further 1st degree.
After speaking to Claudia I lay down on my bed to recover from the shock and because I was in a lot of pain. After resting for about half an hour, I no longer felt pain in my arm and face. However, I continued to have a flaming stabbing pain in my right hand. Realizing this, I called Claudia again and informed her that the pain in my arm and face was gone but that I still had pain in my right hand. Claudia told me that she had not treated my right hand either because I had not reported it. She promised me that she would still do this. About an hour after I spoke with her on the phone for the second time that day, the stabbing pain in my hand also disappeared.

Of course, I did continue to feel severe burns. But the severe pain I felt immediately after the accident was gone after I spoke with Claudia.

I benefited greatly from the treatment Claudia gave me. I still find it amazing that I was able to heal from my burns without any pain. I had little or no pain while changing the bandages. I firmly believe that the absence of pain greatly accelerated my healing process.

Claudia has a gift and she would like to use this gift. I can recommend every burn patient to make use of this. I invite those who doubt Claudia's gift to contact me. I like to tell about my experiences and hope to contribute my little bit in this way.

My little daughter of almost 5 has a burn on the back of her hand, about 4 by 5 cm. The skin hung loose immediately after the burn on a pan. After cooling the skin with water, it lay over the wound, under which a lot of fluid was accumulating. She was in a lot of pain and sat pitifully on my lap. We called Claudia. She wanted to know my daughter's name and where she lives. She would immediately focus on her. After a few minutes my little daughter sat up straight, and said: the pain is less, the pain is almost gone. She immediately became cheerful again and started making jokes of her own. In the morning she comes to me with her battered hand. "Yes" she says "but the fire is out". While Claudia concentrated on my daughter's hand to get the heat out of the wound, the love with which this was done was very palpable. That touched me very much.

Wednesday evening, February 13, 2008, in a hurry while cooking, I got red-hot olive oil all over my thumb and the inside of my right hand. I immediately chilled under running water for half an hour but the pain remained very intense. In desperation, I searched the Internet for information on how to treat this. By chance I came across your site and called you immediately. I had never heard of this before, but thought "it doesn't hurt to do it". I had to explain where I had been burned, the time, my name, my age and where I lived. You told me that in any case I should contact the doctor's office because you had explained that you could take away the intense burning sensation but not the danger of inflammation from blisters.
I had burned at 6:30 p.m. and called you an hour later and you reassured me that within an hour the pain should subside. When I got to the doctor's office at 8:30 p.m. to have the wound bandaged, the pain was indeed gone. Except for 1 spot. The incredible thing was that I hadn't told you that the top of my thumb was also burned, so I was still in pain there. So then I called you again at 9:15 p.m. and explained this and really when I went to bed at 10:30 p.m. this pain was already less. Now a day later I feel no pain at all.

A stinging flame burned my arms. Both left and right I had big red spots on the inside from my wrists to my elbows.
It hurt really bad and we quickly went to the pharmacy to buy an aerosol can of Bepanthen. After a few sprays, it got a little less bad, but it still hurt irritatingly.
We then went on the internet to see if there was anything else we could do. There we found Claudia's website and called immediately. By now more than two hours had passed since the stabbing. Exactly after an hour, the pain was completely gone. It didn't bother me after that either.

This afternoon I sought your help and it did indeed help!
I burned the tips of the fingers of my right hand on the gas stove. A stabbing pain immediately, and a severe burning pain afterwards was the result. Immediately ran water over my fingers but as soon as I didn't, the pain returned violently.

Last Monday, I wanted to quickly defrost the freezer before the vacations. I thought I could do this faster by placing pans of boiling water in the freezer. While changing a pan of boiling water, I bumped into the edge of the freezer causing the boiling water to go over my hand. I dropped the pan and immediately ran to the faucet to cool with lukewarm water. Within seconds I just managed to get my rings off because soon after a thick blister appeared on the inside of my ring finger. I never knew that burning could hurt so much! I cried like a little child. After a while my son of 11 came home. While I was still standing with my hand under the tap, I yelled at him to turn on the laptop and type in the word "burns". A moment later, I looked with him and came across your site by accident. I called you right then.
The time that had passed by then was about two hours. You asked my name, hometown, time of burning and where exactly it hurt. And indeed, about two hours later the pain was gone! My hand still felt warm but there was no more pain! I found it really incredible!
I even slept well that night! The next morning the pain was still gone except for one small spot on top of my thumb. It was still "burning" a bit. It was a spot I had not mentioned on the phone! This burning sensation was not unbearable because otherwise I really would have called you again. But I did find it striking!
I put your phone number in my cell phone so that I always have you handy, even for others! I have since told a lot of people. Nothing is without a reason, people sometimes say. On Monday morning, November 3 last, I received a large cup of nearly boiling water over my lap, resulting in some serious redness and second-degree burns with hefty blisters on the insides of both thighs. Lovely, that seam of your pants rubbing against it!
Exactly one week later, the wound on my right leg the size of a 2euro coin still open, bright red and extremely painful, I spoke to someone who drew my attention to your site. I called you, you explained how you work and also that it had actually been a bit long since the burns had occurred, but you would still try to do something for me.

Claudia, what you do, you do but it helped. The worst pain went away over the course of the same evening and after that it has progressed with great strides. Also, in 3 days the wound went from open, bright red and painful to closed and is now only a small scab.

I have been in contact with you about December 18 about the burn of my son Abel (12 yr old). The accident was then about 5 days ago and you already let me know that because of this it could take several days before the treatment would have results. The reason why I called was that Abel had meanwhile become more bothered by the painkillers he was taking at the recommendation of the nurses in the hospital, than he was still benefiting from them. So I started looking for another remedy to relieve the pain and came across your site.

The wound on his right hind leg was about 15 by 15 cm in size, a second-degree burn, a large part shallow, a smaller part, which is more on his thigh, a kind of recess of about 5 cm., a little deeper. I bandaged the wound daily and squeezed a whole tube of flammazine on it. A few days after your treatment, the pain subsided and also very quickly the first fire-red to a pink wound developed and shortly after that the shallow part was closed. Abel just skied from December 20 to 27 and did not suffer from the wound, except when changing the dressing, then especially the deeper part that was still really open hurt.

It may not be very convincing, since the course of the healing process may be normal, but I still think your treatment has helped as far as pain is concerned. Recently, a nurse remarked that the superficial part in particular must have hurt a lot, and when Abel denied it, she was slightly surprised. Probably Abel also more or less forgot about the first few days.

Also, the part on his thigh, which was burned a little deeper second-degree, is almost closed now, but it doesn't look as nice as the rest of the healed wound, so I fear that will remain a scar.

All in all, I am glad I called. Abel only had some discomfort for a few days after the call. After that, he didn't have to take any more painkillers, even for the dressing change.

I promised to give you a comment on how I am doing.
Well YOU are really great.

I called you yesterday after I had boiling hot soup water over my right arm (inside) at 5pm.
The first thing I had to do was visit my doctor to get it treated.
A huge blister developed within minutes so got burned good.
Stupidest thing I did myself was immediately out of a fright reaction pull the sweater off my arm,you know it so well you should never do that but yes I guess that is the fright, the pain?
The doctor put a cream on it, a second skin and then bandaged it.
When the cream was put on I thought okay this is good but this didn't last 5 minutes or all I could do was scream out in pain so burn it.

Once home the pain only got worse.
Around 7pm I got you on the phone, how super that you even call back if you missed a call, unbelievable.
I was able to tell you what happened where the pain was and how I felt.
You explain in a calm way how you work.

I settled down on the couch and just thought about you.
Around 8:30 I got relief and around a quarter to 9 I barely felt anything.
Incredibly I was relieved of the terrible cutting pain.

I slept very well and really no pain at the moment.
I even feel a little strange now big bandage around my arm and no pain to feel, very strange.
I am very curious to see how my arm will look.
Tomorrow I have to go back to have the bandage changed and I will see.

I hope it will all work out but reading your site I have every confidence in it.

Last week I hit a red-hot stove with the mouse of my right hand. There was a very painful burn with blistering. Immediately chilled with tepid water, but the pain did not subside. Then I had a 1.5-hour car ride ahead of me, so I got into the car with wet washcloths and tea towels. After half an hour I thought, now I'm going to call you. Fortunately I had your number in my cell phone (once put there with the thought: you never know if it comes in handy). You turned out to be in South Africa, but you indicated that that was not a problem for the treatment. What you needed was my name, description of the wound and where I was. Now I was driving on the highway at the time, so I was very curious to see if it would work, but you assured me that it would be fine. And it did work out. A few minutes after our phone call, the intense pain slowly changed to a shallow burning pain. After about 10 minutes, it became a tingling sensation. Then it kept tingling for a while in 1 spot in the wound. And a little while after that, the pain was suddenly completely gone. Unbelievable. I have had 2nd degree burns several times in the past and I was bothered by them for days. And now just under half an hour after our phone call I was completely pain free. The wound has also healed very nicely. Thank you very much!

Last night I was in contact with you by phone. Our 3-year-old son Tygo had burned his fingers on a griddle about 2 hours before. We had already been to the doctor's office but he was still quite sore. I had recently read an article about you but of course I could not find it so quickly. After some searching on the internet I luckily found your website. Because it was already 9 p.m., I was in doubt to call you but when I saw Tygo's sad face I took the plunge.
I had a pleasant conversation with you and after we hung up we stopped chilling. Tygo didn't mind while half an hour before he really didn't want to sit on the couch without a wet cloth in his hands. Then I took him on my lap and less than 10 minutes after that he told me by himself "mommy...my hand doesn't hurt anymore". I had not told him anything that it could start to become less painful. You told me it could take a little longer because there had already been 2 hours in between before I called you. I was surprised that within 10 minutes he told you himself that he was no longer in pain. Really very special. Shortly afterwards he went to sleep and had no more pain at all. He still has 3 large blisters on his fingers, so we have to keep an eye on them, but fortunately he is no longer in pain.

Last night I called you because I had burned my hand on an oven rack. I wanted to get the pizzas out and only had an oven mitt on my right hand. Obviously I wasn't quite there with my head, because I grabbed the grate with my left hand as well. Even though it was only a few seconds, it immediately started to hurt, especially on my thumb. I then immediately held my hand under running water and held an icepack from the freezer. I started searching the internet for other solutions because the pain was unbearable and pretty soon I came across your site. I had some doubts, because yes how can you be helped remotely? But I thought: well, why not, I can certainly try! Half an hour after our phone call, my whole hand felt stiff and numb but when I went to bed, the pain was almost completely gone!

Yesterday I called you because of boiling water that had come over my left hand and forearm. I felt burdened to disturb you at 9 o'clock in your private time, but your website was threshold lowering and very inviting.
As mentioned, I was very pleased with the clear manner in which you spoke to me, any fear of something floaty or charlatanish quickly passed. I was still expecting you to do something on the spot and for me to focus on an ' aura color' or ' mantra' or something of that nature. This was even faster than pulling a croquette sandwich out of the wall....
But more importantly, of course, you helped me. At first it stung a lot, and everything seemed to get worse. So I was bummed that you wouldn't let me go under the faucet again, but thought: hang in there, who knows, maybe it will be okay. After an hour it did indeed go away for about 50% and it was bearable again. After 1.5 hours it flared up again very badly, so I thought: well if that's all. But after that second attack it subsided almost completely. At 11:30 I went to sleep and could even lay with my head on my hand!
I do notice sensitivity now the next day, and there was no need to put hot water on it this morning with showering, that hurt, but it feels totally okay and manageable. Of course, I don't know - thankfully - exactly how 1-degree burns go differently, but memories of sunburns that hurt for days are enough comparison for me.
Should anything ever happen again, I won't hesitate to call you right away, but of course hope it won't be necessary.

Dear Claudia,

After some googling I came across your site after I had burned my middle finger and thumb an hour ago with 2 beautiful blisters right on the tips.
The pain was bearable during cooling down but as soon as the cloth came off it was really unbearable, such a burning and stinging feeling.
So then I decided to call yesterday around 9 p.m., we went over something, and within 3 minutes the phone could be put down again.

I quietly continued watching the movie I was watching, and within half an hour the pain began to subside. Then another half hour later the pain was completely gone!
Only after washing my hands while drying them I still felt it for a while (because of the pressure), but otherwise it was painless.

I don't know what it is. Something psychological? The idea that it can get better and the brain adjusts to that or that it really has something to do with powers, I don't know. What I do know is that it works! Thank you so much!

Twice I called Claudia after I burned my fingers.
The first time my thumb on the oven. After 15 minutes of cooling, I called Claudia to relieve the pain. This since cooling helped, but as soon as the cooling stopped, the pain came back.
She treated remotely and the pain gradually disappeared! The dull feeling remained, but most importantly, "the fire was out"!
Same fantastic experience the second time too! Burned on a straightener, cooled, but the pain remained. Called Claudia, and this time the pain disappeared in stages, flared up again, but is now really gone.
Good tip though: leave the treated skin alone after the treatment, that gives the best results!

About 45 minutes after that the pain changed into a warm glow ( not painful) and after half an hour I felt nothing more. I slept well at night and now the skin is still a bit red-spotted and sensitive only when touched.

Last night I called you for my friend. She had been helped by the ENT doctor in the afternoon. After analyzing her symptoms, he had found out that the best remedy for her was to burn away part of her nasal mucosa.
Having undergone the same procedure myself several years ago, I knew what she had to undergo at that time.
Since she is very close to my heart I wanted to do everything I could to help her get rid of this as soon as possible, so I called you. You told me that this was the first time you had been consulted for such a burn and so had no experience with it and that part of your adherence is to touch the spot where the patient is suffering and so this would not work behind the nose. Through my own experience I was able to describe to you reasonably what was going on and you came to the conclusion that it was worth trying. I can congratulate you you now also have experience with getting rid of pain in places you can't reach with your fingers. The process of getting rid of the pain has progressed over time as you predicted. Some symptoms associated with the procedure are still there but the pain is completely gone. Fantastic. I had burned my hand on boiling water this morning.
Half an hour after I spoke to you the pain became very
intense, as if the fire wanted to get out. It was almost unbearable,
and lasted half an hour. Then it turned into a kind of pinprick

After an hour and a half to two hours, the pain was completely gone. Now it is only sensitive when something touches it, for example. Great! The wound even seems to look calmer. Yesterday it looked like a blister was going to appear, but it did not persist. Thank you so much for the help.

First of all, thank you so much for taking away the pain last night from our daughter Yvette.
Right after you and our conversation, we stopped cooling and a severe pain set in.
Yvette and I sat on the couch together and blew a little air over the spots, which made the pain bearable.
After about 45 minutes, the pain from the hand through the fingers to the fingertips subsided. How nice!!!
Then Yvette went to bed, had a wonderful sleep and is now just off to school.

A month ago I burned my hand severely (deep 2nd degree). Immediately held under the cold tap for 15 minutes but on the advice of the fire department, I was taken away by ambulance and in the ER my hand was treated and bandaged. A day later, large blisters with lots of fluid appeared all over the back of the hand and fingers, and the rest of the hand did not look good either. Would this ever recover without scarring and perhaps loss of function I wondered. I had to return to the outpatient clinic for several days. After five days I saw your site and only called you. You told me that it could therefore take some time for the treatment to work and that it might even feel like it was getting worse for a while. I studied medicine and am not at all gullible, but I cannot deny that when I contacted you I noticed a certain sensation in my burned hand that had a soothing and cooling effect. As if a gentle loving hand was placed on the burns, taking the pain and "the fire" out of it and healing it. In the hours after, some painful tingling suddenly went through my hand as well but it ebbed away after a short time. After that I had no more trouble at all, my burned hand felt good and settled down and I slept fine again without pain. Last week the bandage was permanently removed and I am amazed at how well it is doing now. The wounds are gradually healing and starting to look healthier and healthier. People think my hand looks wonderfully healed. The doctors treating me said at first that it might take some time and that the pigment would not return for about a year, but it is already happening. The skin is starting to look like new, everything will heal and I think that, in addition to the antiseptic ointment, attention and extra creams and vitamins I have been using, is partly because of your treatment. Many thanks for that and I will recommend anyone with unexpected burns to call you.

When I got hot water all over my hand this afternoon I first went to cool it gently and then went to the pharmacy for Bepanthen. This seemed to help until the pain started to sting and burn really badly, which is why I started searching the Internet for other remedies to ease the pain.

I am very happy that I found your website and called immediately, people who have doubts, you can at least try, anything to ease that unpleasant pain and it certainly helped with me. After the phone call I felt very relieved, later the pain came back for a while, something Claudia had also told me could happen. The stabbing pain is gone now, it is still very sensitive so just leave it alone so the wound can heal.

Do you remember, a week ago I called you from Canada about a burn on my arm, sustained because I tried to rearrange a log in a red-hot stove with my bare hands...... not a helpful action, resulting in a burn on my arm of 5 by 2 cm. And the wound was immediately open, the fluid draining out. I remembered having read an article about you in the Gelderlander (I have always lived in Arnhem) and although I have little to do with the 'paranormal' and am certainly not a floaty type (my friend was very surprised when I showed him the place and told him to have called you..... 'Called before that......You????') I thought 'if it doesn't hurt, it doesn't hurt'.

It was a nasty place, didn't look nice. Even though our connection came with fits and starts, I think your influence worked. We have a Bed and Breakfast here and coincidentally that day we had a full house, so I had to get right back to work after calling you. After about half an hour I suddenly thought, hey I hardly feel anything. Must say I was busy too and didn't think about it all the time. You also told me to watch out for infection because burns infect quickly when they are open, but luckily that didn't happen. It was in a bad place, every time I wanted to put my forearm down I couldn't because the wound was right there. And I thought the first night would be difficult too, but I slept like a log. I didn't do anything about it, didn't cool it, didn't put anything on it, just took it easy and let it 'air out' (I think that always works best) and now, a week later, it has healed fine, a thick crust on it which is starting to come off. Now I apply Vaseline every now and then to keep the crust supple and to be honest to keep myself from picking at it, because I always tend to do that with wounds.

So all in all, it turned out very well, meanwhile we bought a special glove (finally....) for use with that woodstove.

So.... thanks!!! Your site is in my favorites, phone number in my Canadian and Dutch mobile, because an accident happens like that. What I was wondering (couldn't find it on your site and in the article) are you also working with hospitals or burn centers? Seems logical to me, or are they (still) skeptical?

In fact, what happened is the following. Last night I couldn't stand the pain anymore and went on the internet to look for info on burn pain. When I found your site and read it intensively, what is described in most of the comments happened. The pain became more evident and after a few minutes this changed to stimuli like when my foot sleeps. This lasted for several minutes and then the pain changed to a numb feeling. All day I had been very anxious about the night because I would have to keep my foot under the comforter and the experience during the day was, that every covering of the wound and every addition of heat severely intensified the pain. Last night I was able to sleep well and the pain came and went but steadily decreased in intensity. Last night I called you after I burned my left hand on a handle of hot frying pan (had forgotten to turn off the gas). I was in a lot of pain, at about 8:45pm we got in touch. After half an hour I noticed that the pain subsided for a while, later the pain increased again. Around 11pm the pain was mostly gone and now I have no more pain! I called you yesterday after I had an accident at work where a fryer with hot oil came over my right hand.
I really went through the floor in pain, the skin is off my hand and I was taken to the hospital with my hand in a bucket of water by colleagues.
The pain was really bad, in the water it was still somewhat manageable, but out of the water it was unbearable and several times I almost fainted from the pain.
In the hospital the doctor bandaged my hand, gave me some painkillers and then I could go home.
At home it was also unbearable and I remembered that I had seen that my sister-in-law had you in her phone 2 days before.
I immediately called her, and you as well. Unfortunately you were not home, but fortunately the person who answered the phone went to contact you.
Less than 10 minutes later you called back.
I explained everything and hoped it would help.
I had to keep walking in circles to be distracted from the pain....
After about 1 hour, I felt change, but as soon as I said to my husband, that I thought it was getting less, it came on again,
But after this went on for a while, the pain finally disappeared completely!
My hand still feels warm now, but absolutely no pain!
I didn't even take the strong painkillers and for that matter no paracetamol!
I want to thank you very much, because it is incredible!
This afternoon the first dressing change, but I don't even look forward to that now!

Yesterday I got big splashes of boiling grease on my fingers.
Immediately cooled with lukewarm water. An intense nagging stinging pain remained.
Around 10 p.m. I called you, this was about an hour and a half after the burn.

For the first hour in particular, the pain came and went in a distinct wave motion. Short periods of pain, short periods of no pain.
The periods without pain became longer and longer.

I called you last week from Enkhuizen about wounds on my left hand and left thigh. I had mishandled a cup of tea and it fell over my hand and leg resulting in wounds that looked like second-degree burns. Well I have had burns like this in the past and normally the pain and wound did last for weeks.

After I called you, the pain remained for about an hour but then the wounds almost disappeared. My whole leg stopped hurting and swelling and redness were gone within minutes. My fingers hurt terribly for a little longer but even there it magically suddenly went away. Two hours after I called you I was really completely healed!

It's that I experienced it myself where else I would be a bit skeptical when you saw how bad the burns were. Truly a miracle.

Last night while frying chicken breast, a wave of hot butter splashed on my left hand I tried, very foolishly in retrospect, with 2 forks in the pan, to separate two pieces of chicken breast stuck together.

I immediately held my hand under the cold faucet. As long as I kept it under the faucet, the pain was tolerable. After fifteen minutes I took 2 paracetamol in the hope that this would ease the pain. On the mouse of my left hand there was already a large white blister. The top of my little finger and ring finger were red, and some red streaks could also be seen on my wrist.

Then I just called the doctor's office to ask what best to do.

After an hour and a half, the pain still hadn't subsided and I was still thinking, that's going to be a sleepless night....
And, tomorrow daddy day. At home with 2 small children, changing diapers with a burned hand was not going to be fun.

After some internet surfing later in the evening, I came across your site. By now it was almost 9:30 and I was still in doubt whether to call so late. I thought I would, if it would save me a sleepless night and a lot of pain.

Because by now it had been almost 4 hours since I had been burned, you said that after half an hour or else after a few hours I would notice that the pain would diminish. After I hung up I felt a kind of electric shock in my forearm after about 20 minutes and half an hour after our conversation the pain indeed became a lot more bearable. When I went to bed around midnight my hand was still a little sensitive, but at least it didn't hurt anymore.

After a wonderful night's sleep, I woke up in the morning with a pain-free hand. I can now do anything with it again!

Saturday at the end of "one of those days" I burned my
fingertips of middle finger, ring finger and little finger on a pan that I
was going to wash up, but the fire was still lit underneath. By quickly
cooling it immediately improved with my middle finger, but my
little finger and especially the ring finger continued to hurt and on my ring finger
a blister appeared, on the little finger a hard slippery spot. I first called the HAP for consultation, I did not have to come with such a small blister.
come. Keep an eye on it though and if anything changed (blister open or something) contact them immediately.

When the anesthesia from cooling had stopped there was a nasty nerve pain in my ring finger, in the wound and along the nerve through my finger and then a little less strongly in my palm to my wrist. I googled looking for something that would ease the pain and then I came across your site. But yes, just calling someone on her Saturday night, you don't do that, do you? After an hour of watching and trying to numb it with an icepack wrapped in plastic and a clean tea towel, I called anyway. You advised me not to use the icepack anymore because of the healing process, asked my name, where I was and where exactly I was, and then I hung up. I called back because I had forgotten to mention my little finger, which suddenly started hurting more. After the phone call it hurt really bad for a while because I wasn't doing anything about it now, but slowly it went away to nothing. Then the pain came up again but not as strong as before and then it went away again. It came back one more time if I remember correctly, but then it was gone. I slept wonderfully.

I didn't respond immediately yesterday because I wanted to see how the healing was going, because I thought it went remarkably fast. And indeed, I still have a plaster around it now, a day and a half after it happened, just to be sure, but actually I could do without it already. It looks beautiful and, except for an edge where the outer skin bulges a bit because, after all, there is more skin near the blister, feels nice and soft.

I called you from Heel regarding burns I sustained (November 9, 2010). I was lost in thought for a moment and grabbed my cup of tea the wrong way, with the result that I got it all over my hand and upper leg. I reacted immediately by cooling with water and holding a cooling element against it. Meanwhile, I called my friend Paula and wanted to know what to do next, since I knew not to put anything on it. She told me maybe I could call someone to have the pain prayed off. I was like yeah, what should I do with that (and acted a little giggly about it). A few minutes later, Paula called back. She had googled and had come up with you and had forwarded me some information in the mail. I finally called.

And how glad I am that I called. So I had contacted you 40 minutes after the accident. You were in a traffic jam at the time, but still wanted to speak to me (even without an earpiece). You indicated that you would be at the scene within 5 minutes, and that you wanted to help me then. Soon I no longer felt any pain. With amazement, I kept walking upstairs to look in the mirror and saw that the 30 x 15 cm. spot was slowly fading away. Truly unbelievable. The inside of my hand was burned, and I didn't feel anything there either. Normally when I have a small burn on my hand, it hurts when I touch it with my tongue. But now I didn't feel anything at all. I was able to sleep soundly afterwards. And when I woke up again, I immediately thought, Claudia, what a special person you are.

This morning I had called you because I had been clumsy enough to stand on my hair straightener while it was on. My sister had also called you once last year after getting hot tea all over her hands and her pain also disappeared miraculously fast which surprised the doctors because the wound didn't seem so good. She luckily still had your phone number in her phone so she was able to call very quickly. I didn't realize until later that it was pretty early to call (quarter to 8) but I do greatly appreciate that you yourself were able to help me at this hour. After the phone call, I held my foot under running lukewarm water for a long time and then I did have pain in my foot for a while (small hour), but after that the biggest pain and burning sensation was gone (thankfully!!!). While I know that in general it does last really veeeeeeeery longer. Once I had hot soup all over my hands and had to rub it in every 15 minutes to get rid of the pain, and had held it directly under the faucet for a really long time as well. Now I have had almost no pain from it. The only drawback is that the wound is under my foot which makes walking difficult; I can only put pressure on my toes or my heel, but not on my side and middle foot. But I believe this too will soon pass. Because that is also already miraculously improving. I find it really great that you want to help people in this way and I want to thank you very much!

On Christmas Day, my 15-month-old son Guus threw a cup of tea over his chest and abdomen. It was so serious that we were taken by ambulance with siren from the "regular" hospital to he burn center in Rotterdam. His body was 4% bandaged. Largely deep second-degree. After two weeks only the superficial second-degree burn was closed, but the wound on his abdomen and some small wounds on his chest unfortunately were not.
By chance I came across your site and ten minutes later I had you on the phone. You told me you got enormous goose bumps, a sign that you might be able to help him quickly.
Guus was not in a lot of pain then, but what I did notice was that he slept through the night for the first time and the day after he slept more than 3.5 hours in the afternoon. Normally max 1.5 hours. Two days later there was another dressing change and he allowed it. We saw for the first time that there was blood flow in the wound. There was already talk of possible transplantation. Four days later, at the next dressing change, the entire wound was almost closed! And two days later it was really closed! In the hospital they had hoped that the wound might be (partially) closed after two or three weeks and this had happened within a week! Since yesterday Guus is out of bandages and can take his first bath again. It looks like he has three or four scars on his belly the size of a euro coin, but that is nothing compared to what we expected. Unfortunately, he is still very traumatized by water. We hope we can slowly show him again that bathing is fun. Meanwhile we rub him twice a day with vitamin E okay and hope that this will keep the scars to a minimum and he will not need surgery for them in the long run.
I am very happy that I discovered through the internet what a wonderful gift you have and hope that you may help many more people.

Dear Claudia,

Thank you so much for your treatment on my 1.5 year old son! We are so happy that little man is no longer in pain from his burns. It really helped!!!

He had received hot coffee over his torso, causing 2nd degree burns. After the hospital visit we contacted you immediately. Very nice that you wanted to help us so late at night.

My little son fell into a deep sleep within 15 minutes of the phone call and slept soundly through the night.
The next morning he woke up happy again, as if nothing had happened. Was immediately playing wonderfully again and did not cry anymore either. So we didn't need the painkillers anymore, despite him having quite a big burn.

5 days after the accident, we had another check-up at the hospital. The burns look "good" and the

Dear Claudia,

Thank you very much for your help and I hope by my positive response I can encourage even more people to contact you when they have burns. When I got hot water all over my hand this afternoon I first went to cool it gently and then went to the pharmacy for Bepanthen. This seemed to help until the pain started to sting and burn really badly, which is why I started searching the Internet for other remedies to ease the pain.

I am very happy that I found your website and called immediately, people who have doubts, you can at least try, anything to ease that unpleasant pain and it certainly helped with me. After the phone call I felt very relieved, later the pain came back for a while, something Claudia had also told me could happen. The stabbing pain is gone now, it is still very sensitive so just leave it alone so the wound can heal.
